Grading and Results

Reveto grades each test as soon as it is submitted, and you decide when the person sees the result.

How grading works

  • Multiple-choice and true/false answers are scored automatically against the correct answer.
  • Short answers and essays are graded by AI against the knowledge base, with partial credit and one to three sentences of feedback.
  • The result is the total score as a percentage of the maximum. It passes if it reaches the test's passing score.
  • The person who assigned the test gets a notification when grading finishes.

Review and override a score

  1. Open the test, go to the 'Assignments' tab and click 'View' next to the person.
  2. Read each answer with its score and feedback.
  3. Click 'Override Score' on an answer you want to change.
  4. Enter a score between 0 and the question's maximum, add 'Feedback' if you like, and click 'Save Override'.

Changed answers are marked 'Manually overridden', and the total and the pass or fail update straight away. Your feedback replaces the AI's feedback in what the person sees. Click 'Edit Override' to change it again.

Release results

When you are happy with the grading, click 'Release Results to Candidate'. The button changes to 'Results Released'. Team members get a notification and an email, external people get an email, and the results appear on their test link.

You cannot take a release back. Overrides you make afterwards still change the result the person sees, so finish reviewing before you release.

Tests that were not finished

If someone starts a test and the time runs out before they submit, Reveto closes it for them and grades the answers they gave. Unanswered questions score zero, and the result appears with the others for you to review and release.
