Autopilot
Autopilot lets a Page send replies without anyone reading them first. Every Page and channel starts in review mode, and you switch each one yourself.
| Mode | Label in Reply settings | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Review | Review before sending | Every reply waits in 'Conversations' until a person sends it. |
| Autopilot | Autopilot | Replies go out as soon as Reveto writes them. |
Switch a Page to autopilot
- Open the 'Messenger' or 'Instagram' tab and select 'Pages' ('Accounts' on Instagram).
- Click the gear button on the Page's row to open its reply settings.
- Under 'Mode', choose 'Autopilot'.
- If you want, fill in 'When the knowledge base has nothing, send' (see below).
- Click 'Save'. The Page row now shows the 'Autopilot' badge.
Messenger and Instagram have separate settings, so a Page can run on autopilot in Messenger and stay in review mode on Instagram. When every Page is on autopilot and nothing is waiting, 'Conversations' shows 'Every Page is on autopilot; replies go out on their own.'
When the knowledge base has no answer
On autopilot, Reveto never guesses. If the knowledge base has nothing on a question:
- If you wrote a holding message in 'When the knowledge base has nothing, send', Reveto sends it. For example, a line saying a colleague will reply soon.
- If you left the field empty, Reveto stays silent.
- Either way, the conversation is marked 'Needs a person', managers get a notification, and the question goes to 'Insights'.
While a conversation waits for a person, another unanswered question in it doesn't trigger a second holding message or a second notification.
Safeguards that still apply
- Words in 'Hand to a human when the message contains' and topics in 'Never answer about' stop Reveto answering that message.
- 'Daily reply cap' limits how many messages Reveto sends on its own each day.
- Outside business hours, Reveto sends only your after-hours message, if you wrote one.
- A conversation someone took over or paused is left alone.
- 'Pause this Page' stops all drafts and sends.
Autopilot needs a working Facebook connection. If the account needs reconnecting, Reveto won't let you switch to autopilot ('Reconnect the Facebook account before switching this Page to autopilot'), and replies can't be sent until you reconnect.
Start in review mode. Send drafts for a few days, check the 'Based on' sources, and fill gaps from 'Insights' before you switch a Page to autopilot.
