The 24-Hour Window

Meta lets a business reply freely only for 24 hours after a customer's last message, and Reveto works within that rule. Each time the customer writes, the 24 hours start again. Within that time Reveto can send any reply: autopilot replies, holding messages, after-hours messages and replies your team sends.

After 24 hours

After 24 hours, only replies a person sends from Reveto can still go out: a draft someone sends with 'Send' or 'Send my version', or a reply typed in the reply box. Reveto sends these as human agent replies, which Meta allows for up to 7 days after the customer's last message. Automatic replies are never sent this way.

How Reveto shows the deadline

  • Each draft shows when it expires, for example 'Expires in 3d' or 'Expires in 5h'.
  • In the last 24 hours the badge turns amber, and a banner counts the drafts that expire within 24 hours, with a 'Review' button.
  • Managers get one notification per draft a day before it expires.
  • After 7 days the reply box is replaced by 'The 7-day window to reply has closed.'

If the window closes before you send

If you click 'Send' after the window has closed, Reveto shows 'The messaging window has closed. This reply can no longer be sent.' and marks the draft expired. An hourly check also marks unsent drafts expired once the 7 days have passed.

A draft left over a long weekend can run out. Check the queue at least every few days and act on the expiry banner.

The customer can always write again. Their new message opens a new window, and Reveto answers it as usual.
