Updating with New Sources

Add new sources to an existing knowledge base without regenerating it. Reveto copies the knowledge base, adds only what is new, and keeps your manual edits.

Use it when a client launches a new offer, changes a price list or adds pages to their website. The 'Build on previous KB' option appears on the Content Generation page once you have at least one knowledge base. Its list shows your five most recent knowledge bases.

How to update

  1. Collect the new material in Data Collection first, for example the new price list or the updated website.
  2. Open 'Content Generation' and tick only the new sources.
  3. Turn on 'Build on previous KB' and pick the knowledge base in the list next to it.
  4. Click 'Continue to Review'. The output language comes from the knowledge base you picked, so there is no language card.
  5. Under 'Sections to Generate', leave on the sections that should get new information and turn off the rest.
  6. Click 'Generate Knowledge Base'.

What changes and what stays

  • The knowledge base you picked is not changed. The update is saved as a new knowledge base, with a copy of every section, block and manual edit.
  • Sections you leave on get new information from the selected sources. What they already say stays.
  • Sections you turn off are copied unchanged. Nothing is removed.
  • A default or custom section that doesn't exist yet is created from the new sources.
  • The review step lists 'Already in this knowledge base', so you can see which sections the copy already has before you add a custom one.

Tick only the new material. Sources that are already in the knowledge base are read again and cost AI usage again.

Reviewing proposed updates

When a new source contradicts the knowledge base, or offers a fuller version of something already in it, Reveto doesn't overwrite the text. It saves a proposed update for you to review, and the notification says how many items are waiting.

Open the new knowledge base and the 'Resolve Conflicts' window opens by itself. Each item shows the 'Current Content' next to the 'Proposed Update', with the AI's explanation and where it sits in the knowledge base. Items are labeled by type, such as 'Factual Change', 'Policy Change' or 'Suggested Update'.

  • 'Keep Current' leaves the text as it is.
  • 'Apply Update' or 'Apply Suggestion' replaces the text with the proposed version.
  • 'Accept All' applies every proposed update.
  • 'Discard All' keeps the current text for every item.
  • 'Previous' and 'Next' move between items. 'Done' closes the review when everything is handled.
  • 'Minimize' folds the window into a 'Review updates' button in the corner, so you can keep working.

The new knowledge base can be used as soon as it finishes, including for replies. Items waiting for review don't block it, and until you apply them the current text stays in place.

An update is a new knowledge base with new sections. A Page or website chat set to 'Only these knowledge bases' or 'Only these sections' keeps answering from the old one. After an update, open each channel's reply settings and select the new knowledge base or its sections.
