Connecting a Facebook Page
Connect a client's Facebook Page to Reveto in a few steps: sign in with Facebook, choose the Pages, and confirm nothing else is already replying. You need the 'Messenger Replies' permission and a Facebook account that manages the Page. Pages you manage through a Business portfolio appear in the list too.
Connect a Page
- Open Operations and select the 'Messenger' tab.
- Click 'Connect a Facebook Page'. If you already have a Page connected, open 'Pages' and click 'Connect a Facebook account'.
- Read the note about which Facebook account will be used, then click 'Continue to Facebook'.
- Sign in to Facebook if asked, and approve the permissions Reveto requests.
- Facebook sends you back to the 'Messenger' tab, and the 'Choose the Pages Reveto should answer' window opens.
- Tick the Pages you want. Each one shows a status (see the table below).
- Click 'Connect selected'. The button shows how many Pages you ticked, for example 'Connect selected (2)'.
- When every Page connects, the window closes and a message confirms 'Connected:' with the Page names.
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Ready | Nothing else is answering this Page. | Tick it and connect. |
| Already connected | The Page is already connected through this Facebook account. | Nothing. |
| Also answered by, followed by an app name | Another app receives this Page's messages, so customers could get two replies. | Turn off the other app, then tick 'I have turned off the other responder'. |
| Linked to another account | The Page is connected in this workspace through a different Facebook account. | Tick 'Move this Page to this account' to move it here. |
| Another workspace | The Page is connected to a different Reveto workspace. | Only that workspace can release it. Use 'Contact support' if you need help. |
Turn off Instant Replies in your Page's settings (Page Settings, then Messaging) before you connect. Reveto can't always detect them, and if they stay on, customers get two answers.
'We could not verify other apps on this Page.' means the check didn't finish. You can still connect. Make sure no other bot answers the Page.
If a Page can't be connected, the reason appears under it and the window stays open, so you can fix it and try again. For example, 'Facebook refused the webhook subscription. Try again.' or 'Tick the acknowledgement to connect this Page.'
Adding more Pages or accounts
To add more Pages from a Facebook account that's already connected, open that account's menu in 'Pages' and choose 'Choose Pages'. To connect Pages that another person manages, click 'Connect a Facebook account' again and sign in as them.
Facebook signs in with whichever account is logged in to this browser. To connect a different Facebook account, log out of Facebook first or use a private window.
Page limits
Your plan sets how many Pages the workspace can connect: 1 on the trial and on Professional, 5 on Business and 20 on Enterprise. Pages are counted across all connected Facebook accounts. When you reach the limit, disconnect a Page or upgrade before you connect another.
Permissions Reveto asks Facebook for
| Permission | Why Reveto needs it |
|---|---|
| pages_show_list | To list the Pages you manage so you can choose them. |
| business_management | To include Pages you manage through a Business portfolio in that list. |
| pages_messaging | To receive customer messages and send replies as the Page. |
| pages_manage_metadata | To subscribe Reveto to the Page's messages, and to unsubscribe when you disconnect. |

Reveto doesn't read your posts, comments or Page insights, and it doesn't change your Page's settings.
